On Saturday 23 November, Overnewton Anglican Community College came alive with our Annual Fair – a vibrant celebration of community, delicious treats, and student talent. Organised by the Parents and Friends Association, the event would not have been possible without the incredible contributions of approximately 200 volunteers, including an inspiring 110 parents who gave their time and energy to make the day unforgettable. Their dedication, from setup to running stalls and activities, showcased the heart and spirit of our Overnewton community.
The Annual Fair was brimming with highlights: 23 student performances across the day, 330 freshly baked scones, and over 50 kilograms of strawberries washed and served. Visitors enjoyed ice cream, smoothies, and fairy floss while browsing favourite stalls like Second Hand Uniform and Groovy Gardeners. Behind the scenes, parent volunteers wrapped 600 Lucky Dip items, baked, sorted, and ensured every detail was perfect!
25 local businesses also supported this fantastic event, making generous donations to our silent auction and major raffle.
A huge thank you to everyone involved – your generosity made the Annual Fair a joyful celebration of community and connection.
Did you know that our Annual Fair Raffle is Overnewton’s key fundraising event of the year and all funds raised go directly to Overnewton students and their families?
Coordinated by the Overnewton Parents and Friends Association, our Annual Fair Raffle is made possible by the generosity of businesses and individuals in our local community.
This year’s raffle had a total prize pool of just under $5,000.
